1. Customers may only have one Basic Account or one Deeming Account.
2. Based on when we process the withdrawal to your account, which may be on a date after the day on which you make the withdrawal.
3. Nil for cash withdrawals from ATMs belonging to institutions in the Global ATM Alliance. Details of how to access your accounts using overseas ATMs and of participating institutions in the Global ATM Alliance are available in the 'A banking guide for overseas travel' brochure.
4. The amount of the MasterCard Assessment Fee will be 0.20% , 0.50% or 1.00% of the $AUD transaction amount depending on the nature of the transaction. For further details regarding the calculation of these fees, please refer to the Deposit Accounts For Personal Customer Product Disclosure Statement - Features, Fees and Charges.
5. $10 for selected accounts* with a Student or Youth Package. (*Westpac OneMain, OneSave, Westpac Choice and Westpac Reward Saver).
6. From 15 November the following requirements will apply to avoid the Monthly Service Fee:
(a) For Westpac Choice accounts opened before 15 November 2008:
(i) If there is a $3,000 minimum monthly balance in the account, the Monthly Service Fee will be waived. OR
(ii) on request, athe customer can elect to take advantage of (b)(ii) below, which would take effect from the first day of the following month after the account has been updated by Westpac.
(b) For Westpac Choice accounts opened from 15 November 2008:
(i) If there is a $3,000 minimum monthly balance in the account the Monthly Service Fee will be waived. OR
(ii) If the account does not have a minimum monthly balance of $3000, the Monthly Service Fee will be charged, though if a minimum of $2,000 in deposits is made b 'between the 1st business day of the month and the last business day of the month', the Monthly Service Fee will be rebated. c
a To make such request, please visit any branch and ask for your account to be updated. This update may take up to 5 working days to take effect.
b To qualify the deposit must be customer initiated.
c A rebate occurs on the same day the fee is charged.
