Banking services

We operate on the principle that you only pay fees or charges for the services you actually use. This allows us to keep our fees to a minimum while giving you more control over your banking.

Information on current fees and charges, for banking services or accounts in general, is available by contacting Telephone Banking anytime on 132 032 (or 132 142 for business customers) or visiting any branch.

For a full list of the banking services we offer and how they can help meet your needs, download our Banking Services Guide.

    Access to cheque funds

    Account statements

We can provide you with additional statements if you need to send a copy to someone such as your accountant, or issue an extra copy of your original statement if you require it.

If you are registered for Internet Banking, you can view and print your last 7 years' statements anytime. Most of our ATMs also give you access to transaction information at your convenience. Or you can contact Telephone Banking on 132 032 or visit any branch.

    Bank cheques

Bank cheques are a safe alternative to carrying large amounts of cash. The Bank draws them on itself, which means your money is secure and they are accepted as a safe form of payment. Bank cheques are prepared on the spot at our branches, even if you do not hold an account with us.

    Periodical payments

This is a convenient way to authorise us to make payments on your behalf, for fixed amounts at regular intervals. This service is particularly useful for mortgage or personal loan payments or for regular deposits to a savings or investment account.

Payments can be made between your bank accounts, to other financial institutions, by bank cheque, or to an account overseas. All you have to do once it is set up, is make sure there is enough money in your account before the payment is due. To organise a Periodical Payment, simply visit any branch.

    Security storage

We can provide you with storage services at selected locations to cater to your specific needs. Some of our services include packets for non-monetary paper documents or safe deposit boxes for larger items such as jewellery and other valuables. These are housed in security modules or vaults with special access requirements. To arrange access to this service please visit any branch

    Stopping a cheque

If you write a cheque and want to stop the payment, you need to contact Telephone Banking on 132 032 or visit any branch immediately. Cheques can be stopped for a number of reasons, including if they are lost, stolen or no longer needed.

    Telegraphic transfers

With telegraphic transfers you can send an electronic payment, quickly and safely to any account at any branch or bank in Australia, and the funds will be available on the same day.

You can also do this online if you are registered with Internet Banking, by choosing Pay Anyone from the main menu in Internet Banking. To send money internationally, choose Overseas from the main menu. Or you can visit any branch.
