Make your super savings work harder for you

Super is one of those things that we tend to put off and remind ourselves to sort out later. It piles up and we tend not to think about it being one of our biggest assets. But there are some really good reasons why we should think about it and start to sort it out:
  • Stop paying multiple fees and consolidate. This means more money where it belongs – in your super
  • Save up to 46% on fees compared to average retail super funds1
  • Direct all your super savings into one fund and see what a difference it can make, each time you log in to your Westpac Online Banking.

How to enter for your chance to win $10,000 cash*

Between 24 July 2008 and 30 November 2008 all new and existing BT Super for Life customers have the chance to win. There are five ways that you can enter:
    1. Rollover/consolidate funds from an existing superannuation fund into your BT Super for Life account using our convenient online rollover service.2

    2. Contribute a minimum of $1,000 to your BT Super for Life account using Electronic Funds Transfer ('EFT'). You can do this by topping up your super savings at the click of a button when you are logged in to your Westpac Online Banking.

    3. Contribute a minimum of $1,000 to your BT Super for Life account using BPAY®.

    4. Transfer a minimum of 20,000 Altitude Card Reward points from a Westpac Altitude Card to your BT Super for Life account. It is not a requirement of the Competition that the Westpac Altitude Card is in the name of the account holder so you could contribute your points on behalf of your spouse or child.

    5. Instruct your employer to make regular future superannuation contributions into your BT Super for Life account. You can find the form you need when you log in to your Westpac Online Banking, in the Superannuation section and printing and signing your choice of superannuation fund form and handing it to your employer.
Multiple entries are permitted, so there has never been a better time to sort out your super.

For more details on the competition read the full terms and conditions of entry.

1 Source: SuperRatings Pty Ltd. BT Super for Life fees are 46% lower than the average fees according to Product Disclosure Statements (PDS) on an account balance of $50,000 with an annual contribution of $5,000. This comparison is based on a default investment option or multi-manager balanced/growth investment option of each fund. The funds are representative of the retail personal super funds sector as at 19 September 2007. Fees are subject to change

2 BT offers an online Super Consolidation rollover tool; however you may be charged certain fees such as withdrawal or exit fees by the super fund(s) from which transfers are made. Consolidating your super will depend on your other super fund managers accepting your forms and having the information they need from you. Changing your superannuation provider may affect any insurance cover you may have with that superannuation provider. For example, it may be discontinued and you may not be able to obtain equivalent cover.
