Who can apply?

Any individual who owns property, household contents and/or personal valuables used for domestic residential purposes. This includes renters and strata title home unit owners who require cover for contents. The insured address must be in Australia.

How to apply

Applying for Home and Contents Insurance is a simple and convenient process.

You can:

• Get a quote and apply online or
• Call us on 1300 650 255 to apply over the phone or
• Visit any Westpac branch

What information should I have with me to get a quote or apply?

• History of any previous home and contents insurance claims
• Property details including security and construction type
• Your mortgage provider
• When you are ready for your policy to start

Payment options

You have the choice of paying:

A single premium annually or Your annual premium by the month at no extra cost

Premiums can be paid directly from your bank by direct debit or by credit card.

Discounts

You could qualify for a discount if:

You combine your building and contents cover in one policy You are aged over 55 years Your home has deadlocks and window locks Your home has a burglar alarm You select a higher than standard excess You qualify for a no claims bonus To take advantage of these discounts, simply complete the home and/or contents quote online. All discounts are applied automatically when you apply for a quote.
