Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply for Credit Card Repayment Protection, you must:
- Have a consumer MasterCard or Visa credit card account in your name with Westpac (it's not available to additional card holders)
- Be at least 18 and no more than 65 years of age
- Be employed and working for at least 15 hours per week for payment.
Online application
For security reasons, incomplete applications cannot be saved. If you pause for more than 60 minutes, you will lose your information and your application will be cancelled.
If your application for Credit Card Repayment Protection is approved, a policy schedule will be sent to you within 14 days of acceptance.
Is my information secure?
When your Credit Card Repayment Protection application is transmitted over the Internet it is protected from unauthorised access by a method called encryption. Encryption is a technique of coding the information being sent using random mathematical "keys" so that only you and the bank can readily unscramble the information. These keys are generated for each Credit Card Repayment Protection application and are erased when your session is terminated. A padlock will appear in the status bar at the bottom of your screen to indicate that the page is secure.
